What is the Carer's Support Grant?
The Carer's Support Grant is an annual payment provided to individuals who are receiving Carer's Allowance, Carer's Benefit Application Form (CARB1), or Domiciliary Care Allowance Application Form (Dom Care 1).
How to qualify for the Carer’s Support Grant:
You automatically qualify for the Carer’s Support Grant if you're receiving Carer's Allowance, Carer's Benefit, or Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA).
The grant is also available to certain other carers providing full-time care. If you're not receiving any of these payments, you can still qualify if:

Rates of Payment:
The Carer’s Support Grant is €1,850 for each person you are caring for. It is paid once each year, usually on the first Thursday in June.
If you are caring for more than one person, you will receive a grant for each person.
The funds from the grant can be used however the carer deems necessary.
The Carer’s Support Grant is fully exempt from income tax, PRSI, and USC.
How to Apply:
Fill in the Carer's Support Grant Application Form (CSG1) form, for each person you are caring for.
